Dopo il primo oro conquistato ad inizio settimana da Chiara Consonni nell’eliminazione sono arrivate tante altre soddisfazioni in casa Valcar – Travel & Service ai campionati europei pista U23 con le prestazioni convincenti di Eleonora Gasparrini e della stessa Chiara Consonni.
Infatti entrambe le giovani atlete hanno vinto una medaglia d’oro nell’inseguimento a squadre dove hanno gareggiato insieme a Martina Fidanza e Silvia Zanardi. Le italiane hanno battuto i quartetti di Gran Bretagna e Olanda che si sono classificati rispettivamente al secondo e al terzo posto.
La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata nella giornata di domenica, quando Chiara Consonni in coppia con Martina Fidanza ha dato spettacolo nella madison andando a vincere la terza medaglia d’oro personale al termine di una gara molto convincente.
La vittoria di quattro titoli europei con Consonni e Gasparrini si inscrive nella grande tradizione che la Valcar – Travel & Service ha nelle competizioni internazionali.
Infatti sono ben 41 le medaglie d’oro conquistate ai campionati europei nella storia di questa squadra.
