Prima vittoria stagionale per Elisa Balsamo che allo sprint batte due grandi velociste come Jolien d’Hoore e Marianne Vos al GP Oetingen al termine di una gara condotta in modo esemplare da tutte le atlete Valcar – Travel & Service (foto: A.Vos).
Semplicemente impeccabile la condotta di gara delle ragazze dirette da Davide Arzeni. La gara di 117,5 Km era caratterizzata da un circuito di 11,75 Km da ripetere 10 volte con il Bergsraat, uno strappo di 500 metri con pendenza media dell’8% e due tratti in pavè.
Per metà gara il gruppo è rimasto compatto a causa del fortissimo vento, poi la situazione è cambiata. Gli attacchi di Vos, Roy, Chabbey e Canuel hanno cambiato il volto della corsa con una selezione che ha portato ad avere sulla testa della corsa un gruppo di 18 atlete tra le quali erano presenti anche Elisa Balsamo, Chiara Consonni e Vittoria Guazzini.
Palpitanti gli ultimi 12 Km. Per anticipare la volata ristretta sono andate all’attacco Kristen Faulkner e Aude Biannic, capaci di raggiungere un vantaggio massimo di 23 secondi. A 5 Km dall’arrivo le due fuggitive sono state riprese, ma Aude Biannic ha tentato un nuovo attacco in compagnia di Vittoria Guazzini.
Anche questo secondo tentativo è stato neutralizzato e nella volata finale Elisa Balsamo ha confermato la sua straordinaria attitudine alle volate, battendo due campionesse come la belga Jolien d’Hoore e Marianne Vos. Con questa vittoria Elisa ha dimostrato di essere una delle donne da battere per i prossimi grandi appuntamenti, il primo dei quali sarà la Danilith Nokere Koerse (martedì 17) dove correranno anche Chiara Consonni, Eleonora Gasparrini, Vittoria Guazzini, Silvia Persico e Ilaria Sanguineti.

Gp Oetingen: Elisa Balsamo vince in volata davanti a Jolien d’Hoore e Marianne Vos
First victory of the season for Elisa Balsamo who beated in the sprint two great like Jolien d’Hoore and Marianne Vos at GP Oetingen at the end of a race conducted in an exemplary way by all the Valcar – Travel & Service athletes.
The race conduct of the girls directed by Davide Arzeni was simply impeccable. The 117.5 km race featured an 11.75 km circuit to be repeated 10 times with the Bergsraat, a 500-meter stretch with an average gradient of 8% and two sections on cobblestones.
For half the race the group remained compact due to the strong wind, then the situation changed. Throbbing the last 12 km. To anticipate the restricted sprint, Kristen Faulkner and Aude Biannic went on the attack, and werw able to reach a maximum advantage of 23 seconds. Five kilometers from the finish, the two fugitives were caught, but Aude Biannic attempted a new attack in the company of Vittoria Guazzini.
