C’era molta curiosità di capire quale fosse la condizione delle atlete Valcar – Travel & Service in questo periodo stagione molto particolare dove molte ragazze sono state in ritiro con la Nazionale per preparare al meglio l’eventuale appuntamento olimpico.
Nonostante la fatica accumulata per i carichi di lavoro, le atlete in maglia fucsia hanno dato il proprio meglio, piazzandosi nelle prime dieci posizioni in tre gare su quattro. Un buon bottino visto l’alto livello delle partecipanti di queste competizioni.
Al Tour de Suisse si è vista una crescita generale delle giovani: Eleonora Gasparrini ha conquistato un doppio tredicesimo posto in entrambe le tappe su un tracciato non propriamente adatto alle sue caratteristiche, mentre l’esperta Alice Maria Arzuffi ha centrato un beneaugurante 9°posto nella seconda tappa.
Le soddisfazioni più grandi sono arrivate dal Belgio. Alla Dwars door de Westhoek Elisa Balsamo si è piazzata al 7°posto, mentre Chiara Consonni ha conquistato la maglia di leader della Lotto Cycling Cup in virtù della precedente vittoria alla Ronde de Mouscron.
Sempre in Belgio le ragazze dirette da Davide Arzeni hanno ottenuto un altro importante piazzamento con Ilaria Sanguineti che alla Dwars door Het Hageland di sabato si è piazzata in ottava posizione. Infine i piazzamenti nelle venti di Silvia Persico (12°posto) alla Dwars door Het Hageland e di Martina Alzini (12° posto) nella seconda tappa del Tour de Suisse confermano un generalizzato miglioramento di ogni singola atleta della Valcar – Travel & Service.

Chiara Consonni is the leader of the Lotto Cycling Cup
There was a lot of curiosity to understand what the condition of the Valcar – Travel & Service athletes was in this very special season, where many girls have been in retreat with the national team to better prepare for the eventual Olympic event.
Despite the fatigue accumulated by the workloads, the athletes in fuchsia jersey gave their best, finishing in the top ten positions in three out of four races. A good booty given the high level of the participants of these competitions.
At the Tour de Suisse there was a general growth of young women: Eleonora Gasparrini won a double thirteenth place in both stages on a track not really suited to her characteristics, while the expert Alice Maria Arzuffi achieved a good 9th place in the second stage.
The greatest satisfactions came from Belgium. At Dwars door de Westhoek Elisa Balsamo finished in 7th place, while Chiara Consonni won the Lotto Cup leader’s jersey by virtue of her previous victory at the Ronde de Mouscron.
